Tooldit's unlock workflow uses a supplied opening password and produces a rasterized copy.
Walkthrough
- Confirm ownership or authorization before selecting the file.
- Enter the opening password when required and run Unlock PDF.
- Inspect the output and keep the original for its text and interactive features.

What to check before relying on the result
The rebuilt PDF contains JPEG page images. Selectable text, form fields, annotations, links and signatures are not retained as interactive features.
Troubleshooting
An incorrect opening password causes an error. If you forgot your own password, Password Recovery can try candidates, with no guaranteed success or practical time bound.
